The capital city has taken a significant step towards the creation of a new nature park. The City Council has approved a land swap with the company Trojmezí Gate, thanks to which Prague will acquire a large green area of more than 57,000 square metres in the Trojmezí area of Prague 10.
"The acquisition of this land into the ownership of Prague will be a major shift in the solution of the entire Trojmezí area and will be another step towards unifying the planning of the future of the entire area. The exchange follows last year's purchase of a 23,590 square metre plot of land near the meanders of the Botič river," says Adam Zábranský, Prague's Councillor for Property, Transparency and Legislation.
In exchange for the land worth CZK 95.9 million, the city will provide the developer FINEP with smaller areas in Hlubočepy, Ruzyně and Stodůlky worth CZK 213.3 million in total. The company will pay the difference of CZK 117.4 million including VAT to the city. In addition, FINEP has undertaken to build civic amenities in Ruzyně.
The tri-border area, located on the border of Prague 4, 10, 11 and 15, is a valuable natural site with meanders of the Botič River, retention basins and a neglected orchard. The Institute of Planning and Development has already prepared a study for the revitalisation of the whole area.
