Prague reopened the Koníček playground at the beginning of the school year. The children's playground and its immediate surroundings have been completely renovated in recent months. Since the beginning of the reconstruction in April of this year, the surfaces have been replaced, the playing elements have been repaired and supplemented, and the greenery has also been restored here. The entire revitalization cost almost 16 million crowns without VAT.

The Koníček playground is partly made up of original elements by the academic sculptor Alexandra Koláčková, which give it its uniqueness. The works from the beginning of the millennium were left unchanged. Other game elements that have survived in the meantime are replaced by new ones that, with their designed layout and colors, follow on from the author's elements.

New swings, sand pits, ground trampolines, diving boards, rocking bowls and above all an extensive climbing forest serve the youngest generation on the playground. The surfaces are partly made of floating gravel, outside the playing areas there is grass. New benches made of solid oak have been added for parents.

At the same time as the revitalization of the playground, the surrounding parts of the park Královská obora Stromovka received repairs. Grassy areas were restored, which had enough time to take root and stabilize over the summer. The reconstruction also affected the surfaces of the park roads. Newly, the sloping parts are paved with blocks of granite sections, the asphalt concrete was renewed on the flat sections. These smooth paths then form an oval circuit around the playground and the approaches to it from the Mecser road.

Newly created niches for the placement of benches and trash cans. The four staircases were also reconstructed. Along Mecser's road, two staircases with historical romantic elements inspired by tree trunks and stumps have been restored to their original form. The other staircases were materially united with the other staircases in the park.
