Prague City Council The Prague City Council on Monday approved the drawing of floor area coefficients from city land for the construction of a new city apartment building in Holešovice. Thanks to this, the Prague 7 municipal district will be able to build a two-storey higher building.
Thanks to today's decision of the Prague city councillors, approximately 24 more city flats will be built. Some of them will be at the permanent disposal of Prague.
"For the construction of the apartment building, which will help to increase the supply of affordable small flats, the City Council approved a subsidy for the district in the amount of CZK 173 million from the Affordable Housing Development Fund in 2021. The condition for drawing the subsidy is that 30 percent of the built flats will be at the permanent disposal of the City of Prague," said Adam Zábranský, the councillor for property, transparency and legislation.
The project of the apartment building in the developing Holešovice-Bubny-Zatory district also includes a comprehensive revitalisation of Za Papírna Street, surface treatment, examination of the possibility of placing tree plantations along the entire length of the street and its preparation for possible future expansion. The ground floor of the house will be used for commercial and civic amenities and will provide space for a playgroup for at least 21 children and a playground on the adjacent plot.
