9/8/2023

This weekend, an expert jury will decide on the winning design of the architectural competition for the construction of the new headquarters of Prague’s Emergency Medical Service in Prosek. The jury will be selecting from six runners-up in the final round. The new headquarters in Prosek will include an operations control center, a training center for paramedics, ambulance garages, and other functions. The winning design will be presented to the public after approval by the City Council.

The new headquarters should be ready in 2030. The medical rescue service is currently based in Korunní Street in a building it shares with Prague’s Municipal Police. The new building to be located next to the Prosek Outpatient Clinic will include an operations control center which will answer emergency calls and deal with crisis situations, as well as an education and training facility for paramedics, administrative facilities, and garages for servicing and maintenance of ambulance cars.
