At its session on Monday, Prague City Council discussed this year’s first batch of zoning plan amendments. The changes were presented by Deputy Mayor Petr Hlaváček. The Council will continue discussing the amendments at monthly intervals. The Councilors also discussed the terms of so-called contribution agreements, under which investors participate in the construction of public infrastructure.
Over the past four years, the City Council has dealt with nearly two thousand requests for zoning plan amendments. Prague would like to keep the pace going forward. “The newly elected Council will continue discussing proposed changes under the same procedure as in the previous term, when we significantly accelerated the entire process,”says Deputy Mayor Petr Hlaváček who is responsible for the urban and strategic development agenda.
Once agreed with the respective city districts and the Urban Development Committee, all changes will be submitted to the Prague City Assembly for discussion. Upon their approval, the zoning plan will be amended accordingly.
Prague City Councilors also discussed the terms of agreements with the respective investors on their financial participation in the construction of public infrastructure. The agreements will be governed by the Investor Participation Methodology.
