The capital city handed over the Industrial Palace to construction companies today. After months of preparations, a consortium of companies led by Metrostav DIZ s.r.o. took over the construction site at the Prague Exhibition Grounds. The construction will begin with on-site facilities and access roads for heavy machinery. The first “dig in the ground” is expected approximately in a month’s time. Comprehensive repairs and refurbishment of the middle and right wing and the construction of the left wing should be completed within three years.

The consortium of construction companies has assigned an experienced expert team for the repairs and completion of the Industrial Palace, which is a protected cultural monument. The team recently refurbished a similarly valuable landmark - the National Museum.

The consortium which calls itself the Association for the Industrial Palace, won the Industrial Palace contract in a public tender. Its members include Metrostav DIZ s.r.o. as the leader and companies AVERS, spol. s.r.o; SYNER s.r.o.; and Metrostav a.s. All of them are well-established companies that have extensive experience with similar projects in terms of complexity and the amount of investment.
