At its session on Monday, the Prague City Council appointed a coordinator for a makeover of the traffic hub at Černý Most, which has long been in an unsatisfactory condition, primarily due to complicated coordination of all related activities and projects. The City Hall is aware of the situation and has partnered with the Prague 14 district authority and other organizations to plan an overall refurbishment of the bus terminal to create a modern transport hub both for Prague city transport and for regional and long-haul north-eastern bus lines. Marek Vetýška from ROPID, an organization responsible for the coordination of public transport in Prague, has been appointed the coordinator of the Černý Most project. He will be responsible for short-term and medium-term improvements, such as the implementation of a new information system, installation of quality street furniture and ensuring proper maintenance of the facilities.
