Prague will expand parking capacities in the Opatov housing estate. The City Council has approved the plan to build a new P+R parking house, which will offer 495 parking spaces. The building will be built near Chilská Street, where it will supplement the existing insufficient parking.

The parking house will mainly serve drivers arriving on the D1 motorway, who can continue by public transport. The Opatov metro station and stops for city and regional buses are located in the immediate vicinity.
The modern facility will offer, in addition to conventional parking spaces, spaces for electric vehicles with charging stations, CNG/LPG vehicles and disabled vehicles. It will also include a bicycle parking area.
The estimated cost of construction is CZK 667 million excluding VAT. The tender will be issued by the end of February 2025, the construction itself should start in the second quarter of next year and be completed by the end of 2026.
