the Prague City Council agreed to conclude a donation agreement between Budapest and Prague. The agreement concerns the donation of a historical lamp from the Széchenyi Chain Bridge in the Hungarian capital. The lamp will be part of the Dvorecký Bridge, which will be decorated with dozens of public lighting lamps from all over the world when it is completed.

Prague city councillors have discussed a proposal to conclude a donation agreement between Budapest and Prague to acquire a historic lamp that was part of the Széchenyi Chain Bridge. This lamp will be used in the artwork "Light Removes Darkness".

"The historic lamp from Budapest will not only become an artistic enhancement of the new bridge, but also an expression of the belonging of countries and capitals in Central Europe," adds the Mayor of the Capital City of Budapest. Bohuslav Svoboda.

The new Dvorecký Bridge will be decorated with dozens of public lighting lamps from all over the world, for example from Argentina, Brussels, London or Mexico. The artistic intention is to create a light installation consisting of street lamps that have illuminated public space in various places around the world in the past or present and are unique in their shape and form. The acceptance of the donation is still to be discussed by the Prague City Council.
