Jarov Secondary Vocational School opens newly renovated building with technological innovations

Students at Jarov Vocational Secondary School can look forward to newly equipped classrooms with state-of-the-art technology as the new school year begins. The two renovated school buildings use unique intelligent solutions that reduce energy consumption by more than 50%. The school full of technological gadgets is also a learning tool for students in technical fields. The reconstruction of the buildings on the school campus in Jarovo and the botanical garden in Malešice was significantly supported by the capital city.

The founder of the school, the City of Prague, made a significant contribution to the modernisation of the school. The project documentation for the building in Jarovo was created in 2017, the City Council approved the project in June 2019, construction work began three years later and it was finished at the end of last year. The total construction costs, excluding VAT, amount to CZK 358,273,610.16, of which a subsidy of CZK 179,964,288.90 was provided from European funds.
