Children in Černý Most have a new multifunctional playground

8/13/2024

A multifunctional playground for children instead of a dilapidated corner of the former tennis courts. This is how the Bryksova - Bobkova - Kučerova courtyard block in Prague 14 changed in a few months.

The whole area is covered with a rubber surface with 2D graphics, where children will find many educational and fun games and pictures. Thanks to its surface, the playground is safe for children and at the same time it will not spread noise into the surrounding houses and apartments. A traffic playground and raised beds are also included.

"Prefabricated housing estates are home to many residents of Prague who deserve to live in a dignified environment. I will certainly support the further cultivation of similar places, not just courtyards. If we as a city do not take care of them, there is a risk that they will become isolated ghettos, and none of us really wants that," adds Deputy Mayor Udženija.

Prague 14 has long been trying to revitalise one of the largest housing estates in the country and improve its infrastructure, for example by building a home for the elderly or a multifunctional house with a library. "We care about quality leisure facilities in our district so that the housing estate is not just synonymous with a dormitory. We would like to thank the Deputy Minister for her support and help and we are looking forward to further joint projects that will lead to the improvement of the living conditions of the inhabitants of Prague 14.
