the Prague City Council decided on the selection of a contractor for the construction works within the public contract for the completion of the Central Park in Jižní Město. The aim of the works is to complete the area, complete the missing facilities and create a full-fledged urban park.
This is the completion of the central part of the park, which makes up two thirds of the total area and builds on the previously completed stages of the area's restoration. In the past, the construction of the Central Park has been built in phases in relation to the level of funding in the approved annual budgets. The first stages were constructed in 2012, with the next section completed in 2019.
The area of the park is currently used for short-term recreation by residents of the estate. The current renovation will therefore not change the principle of use of the area, on the contrary, the aim is to complete the space and add the missing facilities. In accordance with the requirements of the Prague 11 municipal district, social and sporting recreational activities will be concentrated in the central part of the park in order to create a fully-fledged urban park.
An important part of the project is also the implementation of a sewage sewerage connection, a water connection with water distribution throughout the area, public lighting and preparation of festive lighting or the establishment of a park lawn, planting trees and plants.
In the open tender procedure, the bid of the participant CETUS PLUS, a.s. was finally evaluated as the most economically advantageous in the amount of CZK 74 893 932,05 excluding VAT. The bid price of the selected contractor did not exceed the estimated value of the public contract. The implementation of the construction should take place between 2024 and 2025. The works should last 15 months.
