The capital city will support the development of school facilities in its territory. It will provide a total of CZK 791.6 million to the districts that establish them. The subsidies are intended mainly for increasing the capacity of kindergartens and primary schools. These are projects that are at a high stage of preparation or have already started to be implemented. The intention was approved by Prague councillors on Monday and still needs to be approved by the City Council. Prague City Council has to approve the proposal.

New capacities of primary and kindergarten schools are being built on the territory of the capital. Among the 14 projects for which Prague will provide funding are the construction of a new kindergarten in Dubč, the construction of a kindergarten in Nad Volyňskou in Prague 22, and the upgrading and modernisation of a primary and kindergarten in Slivenec. Other projects include the extension and completion of the second stage of the Jarov Primary School, the construction of the V Cibulkách Primary School in Prague 5 and the construction of a new pavilion at the Petra Strozzi Primary School in Prague 8.
