The Council of the Capital City of Prague Prague approved the lease of the tennis facility in Letná Sady for 30 years to the tennis club LTC PRAHA. The complex, which includes a listed historic clubhouse, will be renovated and will serve not only the club members but also the general public.

The grounds of the tennis club on Letná include, for example, 8 tennis courts, an area with mini-courts, a grandstand, a sports hall or a one-storey wooden building from 1926 by the prominent architect Bohumír Kozák.
The LTC Club currently uses part of the Letenské sady site under a long-term lease agreement from 1995, which is valid until 1 November 2025.
According to an expert opinion, the land with a total area of more than 11,000 square metres will be leased to the club for CZK 756,000 per year. The longevity of the lease is due to the existing and future investments in the revitalisation of the area, which will significantly enhance the value of the city's property.
"The intention to lease the land in question to the LTC tennis club represents a logical outcome aimed at settling the long-standing unresolved property relations in the area. At the same time, it meets the requirements of social demand to ensure the restoration and development of the land in question within one operational functional unit in accordance with its historical purpose," says Adam Zábranský, Councillor for Property, Transparency and Legislation.
"This solution represents at least a partial remedy for the damage and property injustice caused to the LTC Tennis Club by both the deprivation of its original property ownership rights after 1948 and the erroneous decisions of the state authorities after 1989 in dealing with restitution claims," adds Councillor Adam Zábranský.
