Prague city councillors approved the purchase of eight plots of land from ČD

At Thursday's meeting, Prague city councillors approved the purchase of eight plots of land from ČD. The plots are located in the cadastre of Karlín in the vicinity of the Negrelli viaduct and below it. The total price of all the plots is just under CZK 11 million.

"On the land there are parts of roads that are already owned by the capital city, as well as greenery. The land is in the vicinity of the Negrelli viaduct and under it. By buying them, the capital city is consolidating its property, which it will be able to develop more strategically in the future," says the city councillor. The land in question includes parts of Křižíkova, Malý, Pernerova, Pobřežní and Prvního pluku streets. The roads are owned by the City of Prague and managed by the Technical Administration of Communications of the Capital City of Prague. Prague. On the next land to be purchased there is a small park with a grassy surface and deciduous trees. The transaction also includes land under some of the viaduct arches.

The Negrelli Viaduct is a barrier separating Karlín from the historic city from an urban planning point of view. In the future, the city plans to revitalize its surroundings and build built-ins in the arches. The first rebuild in arch No. 036 is now under construction, while the remaining ones will only be accessible after a two-year pilot operation to examine the impact of traffic on the listed building.

In total, the capital will buy eight plots of land from ČD, covering a total area of 6,059 m². The final purchase price based on an expert's report is CZK 10,997,950, i.e. approximately CZK 1,815 per square metre. Specifically, the land parcel numbers 812/3, 812/4, 826/3, 859/1, 861/1, 861/2, 863/3 and 874/5 in the Karlín cadastral area.
