Prague 14 was the next district visited by Mayor Bohuslav Svoboda on Wednesday. During the meeting at the town hall, several common topics were addressed, such as security, parking spaces and school capacities.
The mayor of the capital city of Prague, the Mayor of the city of Prague, said. At the beginning of his visit to Prague 14, Prague Mayor Bohuslav Svoboda took part in the ceremonial tapping of the foundation stone of a multifunctional building that has been under construction since last autumn near the Černý Most metro station. The project is expected to be completed in December 2025.
"The multifunctional building and other similar buildings are positively changing the appearance of the district, which is no longer "just" a housing estate, as it was in the past with Černý Most. And I am glad that other projects are also planned here," said Mayor Bohuslav Svoboda.
This was followed by a visit to the Prague 14 Municipal Office, where a meeting was held with the participation of Mayor Jiří Zajac and other representatives of the City Hall. A wide range of topics were discussed, from the organisation of markets to the lack of parking spaces and school capacity to the important topic of street safety, both in relation to substance users and the homeless. In the area of public transport, the topic of a possible extension of the tram line from Hloubětín was then addressed.
The meeting at the Town Hall was followed by a short tour of the construction of the Bojčenkova Home for the Elderly and the H55 Leisure Centre in Hloubětín, where the Mayor concluded his visit to the district.
Bohuslav Svoboda promised to visit all the districts and to help them solve their problems. The visits to Dolní Měcholupy and Prague 13 should follow next week.
