There will be an additional source of drinking water in the capital if needed. Prague will reconstruct the Halenkovská well with the Mladý waterworks in Zličín. Once completed, this source will be part of the Capital City Crisis Plan. Prague. The investment of CZK 4 840 000 was approved by Prague councillors on Monday.
The Council of the Capital City of Prague has approved the decision. The Prague City Council on Monday agreed to provide an investment subsidy of CZK 4 840 000 to the Prague-Zličín municipal district for the construction of the Halenkovská well intake facility with the Mladých waterworks. The subsidy was requested by Marta Koropecká, mayor of the Prague-Zličín municipality. The proposal still needs to be approved by the City Council. Prague.

At present, water from the Halenkovská well is used only occasionally, especially in the summer season (watering the greenery, the needs of the Prague-Zličín Fire Brigade, water supply for the water feature at the children's playground). In terms of quality, the water is microbiologically unstable.

The Halenkovská well, with a permanent yield of 10 to 15 l/s, will be an important source of emergency drinking water supply and is included in the Crisis Plan of the Capital City of Prague. It is a part of the Prague Crisis Plan. Once the connection of the Halenkovská well to the Mladých waterworks is completed, it will become part of the existing public water supply system and will be ready for immediate use as an emergency source of drinking water.
