The attractive space and popular leisure location on the banks of the Vltava River, which offers a range of cultural and recreational activities, will be operated by a new tenant from March 2024. The municipal company TRADE CENTRE PRAHA (TCP), which manages Prague's embankments, has successfully concluded the tender for the new operator of the Hollar Chapel and Embankment. The winning bidder signed a two-year lease agreement with an option for another three years.
"I believe that the new operator's dramaturgical plan will preserve the atmosphere of the taproom and the city will get a lease that is appropriate for this attractive space," says Adam Zábranský, councillor for property, transparency and legislation.
In the selection procedure, the primary evaluation was the dramaturgical intention of the tenant to operate the premises, the price offered for the rent starting at CZK 30,000 per month and the previous experience of the operator with a similar type of business. In the end, a total of six applicants were evaluated who met the required conditions for participation in the procedure.
The new operator will pay a rent of just under CZK 151 thousand per month from March and will also include the cleaning of the leased premises, which until now has been mediated by the administrator together with the operation of the public toilets. This costs approximately CZK 36,000 each month, while the monthly amount for the lease of the tap room is currently only CZK 3,000 higher.
