Mayor of the capital city. Bohuslav Svoboda of Prague visited Radotín and Lochkov, where, accompanied by the local mayors, he inspected newly completed, under construction and planned projects.
His first stop was Radotín, where he was welcomed by Mayor Karel Hanzlík and other representatives of the local town hall. Most of the discussion was about the Centrum Radotín project - a new square with a boulevard and commercial space, as well as apartments and underground garages to be built near the station.
This was followed by a tour of selected sites - the technologically interesting footbridge over the Berounka River and the Koruna cultural and community centre with the adjacent ZUŠ, the Halfway House and the Police Service. The new footbridge over the busy roadway, which increases the safety of schoolchildren, was also worthy of attention.
Along the site where the construction of the above-mentioned Centrum Radotín project is planned, there was a path to the new, architecturally and functionally interesting railway station, which was put into operation last month. This was accompanied by a tour of the adjacent new bike shed, which will also be used for charging electric bikes.
Then the Mayor went to the nearby Lochkov, where he was welcomed by the long-time mayor of this municipal district, Jiří Rendl, in the premises of the local authority. This was followed by a tour of the construction of the new kindergarten, which will be equipped with, among other things, a sophisticated modern kitchen, but above all will provide better facilities for children in this ever-growing urban district.
Lochkov is also seeking to build a primary school, which could be built alongside new housing on land currently designated as agricultural land. The council is therefore seeking a change to the masterplan. The Mayor's visit concluded with a tour of the fire station and the adjacent hall with the many maintenance machines that the Mayor has managed to secure for the village.
