Prague Adapterra Awards won Toulců's Court

11/10/2023

Toulců dvůr won this year's Adapterra Awards for the best project that prepares the city of Prague for climate change. These include a wetland with rare and endangered species, pools, a rain pond with cascades and a floodplain forest in Hostivař. The prize is awarded annually by the Partnership Foundation in its Adapterra Awards competition. The presentation of all winners can be found on the website adapterraawards.cz.

The roots of Toulc's Court date back to the 14th century. It was taken over by a non-profit organization in the 1990s after inappropriate alterations under the management of a farming cooperative. On 10 hectares it now runs a farm with domestic animals, a riding school, gardening, accommodation, a healthy canteen, organic shops, a kindergarten, a family centre and organises educational programmes.

Toulcův dvůr has also been awarded the "Harmony of Man with Nature" award for its management of inspiring and engaging the general public in a responsible relationship with nature.
