Prague city councilors agreed to accept a European subsidy from the Operational Programme Employment Plus for the implementation of a project to ensure the availability of selected social services in the City of Prague in 2024–2027. The funds amounting to CZK 547,716,720 will be used to finance sustainable operation of shelters, halfway houses, and an intervention center in the capital city.

Prague will receive funding for the project from the Operational Programme Employment Plus – Ensuring the Availability of Social Services, and co-finance a minor part of the cost from its own budget. The total eligible costs of the project amount to CZK 547,716,720 for the period from 1 January 2024 to 31 December 2027.

The acceptance of the subsidy and the combined financing of the project is yet to be approved by the Prague City Assembly at its next session.
