Prague will refurbish a residential building in Moskevská Street in Vršovice district to create ten new flats

The capital city will provide funding for the refurbishment of an apartment building in Vršovice district. The construction project at 27 Moskevská Street will require CZK 50 million. The multi-storey building will serve its original purpose, which is housing. The historically valuable House of Service dates back to 1935.

The Prague 10 district lacked the funds needed for the refurbishment of the 1935 building, which originally served the Baťa company for residential and commercial purposes. The district therefore decided to transfer the property to the city administration. The building has been vacant for a long time and has also been considered for sale due to its bad technical condition.

The total cost of the investment project has currently been set at CZK 50 million. The funds budgeted for this year will be used for pre-project and project preparations, including engineering activities, creation of construction documentation, and other tasks. Upon completion of the project preparations, it will be possible to determine the next steps that will lead to a tender procedure for the contractor and subsequently to the construction itself.
