The Prague City Council agreed to call a public tender for the refurbishment of training workshops on the premises of the Secondary Vocational School in the Radotín district. Apart from the refurbishment of existing facilities, a new machining workshop for 24 students will be built. The project is expected to cost approximately CZK 7.5 million excluding VAT.
The building in question is an existing hall on the school’s large premises. It was built in the 1950s originally as an open shelter for parking agricultural machinery of the former Machine Tractor Station. In the early 1970s, perimeter walls were erected for the purposes of the vocational school. At the end of the 1990s, the building underwent further improvement, with partial insulation, new gas piping, and minor modernizations.
The estimated value of the contract is CZK 7.5 million excluding VAT. There are no requirements for demolition or felling of trees in the project documentation. The project will not have a negative impact on the buildings and land in the neighborhood.
