Prague adopts a long-term strategy to support its residents in housing need

The Prague City Assembly has approved a strategy for preventing homelessness, mitigating its impacts and eliminating the phenomenon in Prague by 2030. The document combines measures in the areas of housing with social services and humanitarian aid for the homeless, with housing as a key tool to eliminate homelessness. Social services and humanitarian aid are important, but not sufficient on their own.

At its latest regular session, the Prague City Assembly approved the Strategy for Preventing, Mitigating Impacts, and Eliminating Homelessness in Prague by 2030.

The document describes initiatives in the area of prevention of homelessness, mitigating its negative impacts and eliminating the phenomenon.
