Prague’s new zoning plan – the Metropolitan Plan – which is being drawn up by the Prague Institute of Planning and Development (IPR), has received positive response from all the authorities concerned, in particular from the Ministry for Regional Development, the Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Environment. The draft plan is compatible not only with the Territorial Development Policy of the Czech Republic, but also with the opinion of all the authorities concerned and the public interests they defend. The Metropolitan Plan will be exhibited at the Center for Architecture and Urban Planning (CAMP) from April 26.
The draft Metropolitan Plan was first presented to the public in 2018 as part of a so-called joint discussion round in which the citizens as well as government ministries and other authorities were able to submit their comments. After a series of discussions, all requirements and relevant comments were incorporated into an updated version, which will be completed in April and presented to the public.
