Senior citizens have been able to move back to the newly refurbished Zahradní Město Senior Home. The City of Prague, or its Asset Management Department as the investor, has refurbished the facility’s buildings A, B, and C, including the surrounding park.

“We consider taking good care of our senior citizens and ensuring their well-being as an imperative. The facility was handed to the operator in March, after a complete refurbishment that we financed. We also partially renovated the surrounding park by May and will continue in autumn this year,” says Ing. Jan Rak, Head of the Asset Management Department.

The Zahradní Město Senior Home, formerly known as the Social Care Institute – Senior Asylum Prague, was built in 1969. It is designed for elderly people over 65 years of age who have found themselves in an unfavourable social situation due to age or health condition and need assistance.
