Prague city councillors approved the purchase of a plot of land in Horní Měcholupy, in the Prague 15 municipal district, for CZK 16.2 million (VAT excluded). The site is to be used for the future construction of the necessary facilities for the integrated rescue system.

The capital city will pay a total of CZK 16.2 million excluding VAT for the 771 square metre plot of land between Milánská and Holoubkovská streets in Prague 15, on which the two-storey building of the former block boiler house currently stands.

"The future centre should serve the Prague Municipal Police, the Prague Fire and Rescue Service and the City Health Rescue Service. Prague, including water rescuers," says Adam Zábranský, the councillor for property, transparency and legislation.

"The components of the integrated rescue system also need proper facilities in individual city districts. Here, it would be an advantage that the facility would serve several units at once," adds the mayor of the capital city. Bohuslav Svoboda, who is also responsible for security.
