Prague administration launches a real estate portal to further improve transparency

Prague city administration has launched a new website where it will regularly post all city-owned real estates being offered for sale or rent. Citizens will have online access to comprehensive information about all leases, sales and auctions of both residential and non-residential property in a single place with standard search functions. Users will also be able to subscribe to receiving new offers by e-mail: they only need to register in the system with their e-mail address.

“The Real Estate Portal of the City of Prague represents another step to achieving our goal, which is transparent city asset management. The portal makes assets management more open and modern. The new online service is more convenient and user friendly than searching offers on the official notice board,” says Karel Grabein Procházka, Prague Councillor who is responsible for the city asset management agenda.

The Real Estate Portal at www.realitniportalpraha.cz will carry a regularly updated list of real estates for rent as approved by the Prague City Council that needs to authorise all asset management decisions.

“I believe that once we fine tune all the details, the municipal real estate website will soon become a useful service on the Prague real estate market. I also appreciate that the development and implementation costs of the new system have been relatively low as compared to the potential benefits,” adds Karel Grabein Procházka.

Prague city administration has spent 450,000 CZK on the development of the Real Estate Portal.
