Prague has joined the Memorandum on Common Interest that supports a transformation of the Dejvice Campus. Prague Institute of Planning and Development is to draft a concept. The aim is to suggest a redesign that will improve the conditions not only for students and faculty in the campus but also for other citizens who visit the area.

The concept is expected to come up with fresh ideas for public space design, transport, greenery, event facilities, and effective utilization of the campus buildings. The university campus should become a more prestigious place as appropriate for its significance - an attractive vibrant center of learning and research.

Besides its representative role, the campus will serve as a rest zone for students and local inhabitants. It should also host various cultural events, such as concerts and exhibitions.

The Memorandum on transforming the campus has been joined by seven entities, including the City of Prague, the Czech Technical University, the University of Chemistry and Technology, Charles University, the Institute of Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry of the Czech Academy of Sciences, the National Technical Library, and Prague 6 district.
