The Prague-Velká Chuchle district will have a new storm water drainage system, which will be part of comprehensive flood protection measures.

The land in Velká Chuchle along Dostihová Street will no longer be flooded by heavy rains and the rising river. A storm water drainage channels will be built in Velká Chuchle to drain the area north of Dostihová Street.

On Monday, Prague city councilors approved an intent to sign a contract with the winner of a public tender for the the modernization and extension of part of the flood protection measures and drainage system in Velká Chuchle. The estimated value of the contract is CZK 21.2 million excluding VAT, with the construction works expected to take six months.
