Today, the Prague City Council approved a transfer of heating facilities including exchange station technology located in Mimoňská Street in Prague 9. The sale has been requested by the homeowner association at Mimoňská Street No. 633-643, which is planning to install its own more modern technologies to reduce heating costs.
“The homeowner association in Mimoňská Street in Prague 9 will install new modern technologies at their own expense, which will will result in an overall reduction of the local heating costs. We have made the transfer of city-owned assets possible on condition that the future owner will operate its own heat generation facilities as part of the central heat grid for a minimum of another 30 years. It would be great if this idea inspired other owners’ associations across Prague that find themselves in a similar situation. We will be happy to support other such transfers of heating assets,” says Adam Zábranský, Councilor for Property, Legislation and Transparency.
The price for the heating facilities was set by an expert opinion dating from January this year at CZK 677,600 including VAT. The City Council approved the sale on condition that the future owner will operate its own heat generation facilities as part of the central heat grid for a minimum of another 30 years.
