Prague has completed the construction of a modern parking garage in Nové Butovice for 380 cars

6/23/2023

The City of Prague today officially opened a new parking garage at underground line B station Nové Butovice in Prague 13 district. The parking facility in Petržílkova Street was built in the last year and a half and will expand the existing parking offerings for local residents in the area. At the same time, however, it will also enable drivers from elsewhere to park their vehicles and comfortably continue their journey by public transport. The total cost of the construction reached 343 million crowns. The parking garage opened to the public today at noon.

The parking garage at Nové Butovice in Prague 13 was built on the site of a former parking lot. Out of the total of 380 parking spaces, 200 are allocated to the municipal P+R parking system and the remaining 180 spaces are intended for local residents. The two parts are separated from each other, with the spaces for residents located on the underground floors and the P+R spaces above the ground. The parking capacity has increased more than 3.5 times as compared to the original parking lot. The garage currently offers four e-car chargers, two for residents and two for other visitors. However, the building is ready for up to 33 chargers to be installed.
