At its today’s session, the Prague City Council agreed to a large-scale swap of real estate between the capital city and the Czech Republic, approving the respective agreement between the two parties. Under the agreement, Prague will transfer real estate on the premises of the Bulovka University Hospital to the state, receiving the Karlín Barracks, property in the Lesser Town and in Hybernská Street, the premises of TJ Sokol Praha Královské Vinohrady, and other assets in exchange. The transaction is yet to be approved by the Prague City Assembly at its upcoming session.
The property swap is the result of long negotiations between the capital city and the Czech Republic, namely its Office for Government Representation in Property Affairs.
