Prague to complete construction of the Central Park in the Southern Town district

At its session on Monday, Prague City Council approved a plan to complete the construction of the Central Park in the South Town district in Prague 11. New pedestrian and cycle paths as well as a café and facilities, such as public toilets, are to be built in the unfinished central part of the park. The construction works should be completed in two years and the city expects to invest a total of 78 million crowns without VAT in the project. Upon approval of the plan by the City Assembly, the City Hall will call a public tender for the contractor.

 

The city is planning to complete construction works in the Central Park in Prague 11 in the next two years. Some parts of the project have already been completed and the central part should be finalized within two years.

The value of the public contract is estimated at CZK 78 million without VAT. The price includes the construction works, a study, design and engineering activities, and technical supervision. The construction works should take place in several stages and be completed in 2024. The plan is yet to be approved by the Prague City Assembly.
