Prague launches construction of a parking garage for 379 cars at Nové Butovice underground station

12/7/2021

The construction of a new P&R Nové Butovice parking garage in Prague 13 district was officially launched today with a ceremonial tapping of the foundation stone. After completion, which is planned for the spring of 2023, the facility will provide a total of 379 new parking spaces. Most of them will be allocated for a P&R car park with easy access to Nové Butovice underground line B station. The remaining parking spots will be reserved for local citizens.

On Tuesday, December 7, 2021, construction of a new six-storey parking garage in Petržílkova Street officially commenced. The facility will accommodate 379 cars in total. 197 parking spaces will be designated for P&R purposes, including an area reserved for drivers with disabilities. Twelve spots will be fitted with e-car chargers. Bicycle stands for up to 20 bikes will also be available.

The project is expected to be completed, approved, commissioned and transferred to the city’s own Technical Road Administration company in mid-2023.  The cost of the construction will reach 292.7 million crowns without VAT.
