The Prague Development Company (PDS) has announced the first of a series of 8 public contracts (6 tenders and 2 architectural competitions) focusing on architectural design of urban rental housing projects and related civic amenities. The first selection procedure is for a contractor to build a kindergarten with a gym and a community center in Sicherova Street in Prague 14. This is the first part of a planned new center of Na Hutích district, which will expand to offer urban rental housing, comprehensive civic amenities, and a square with shops and services.

The investment project was approved by the City Council and the Investment Expert Committee upon recommendation by PDS. The key criteria in all these public tenders for urban construction include the quality of the design of buildings and public space, long-term environmental and economic sustainability, and land utilization effectiveness. Bids responding to the call for tender as published in the Tender Arena shall be submitted by 10 January 2022.
