The City of Prague has completed the carcass work of a new multi-storey P+R car park at Černý Most. The 4 storey building located in Chlumecká Street offering parking for 880 cars will be the largest standalone car park in Prague. The investment in excess of half a billion crowns will help commuters switch from their cars to transit, alleviating the traffic situation in the north-eastern part of the city. The car park is expected to open early next year. The contractor is Metrostav in collaboration with construction company BAK.
The new multi-storey parking facility will replace the existing parking lot with a capacity of 294 cars. Out of the 880 parking places, 94 will be reserved for CNG/LPG cars and another eight will be equipped with e-car chargers. The project will also support cyclists and e-cyclists, offering a separate lockable area with 38 bicycle stands.
